Disaster Man

Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: Agents in █████, Egypt are to be on heightened alert during ██/██ annually for any SCP-XXXX appearance. SCP-XXXX is to be apprehended and secured by field agents as quickly as possible. No weapons are to be aimed or directed at SCP-XXXX, nor is SCP-XXXX to be brought near any sort of unstable or dangerous machinery/landscape. SCP-XXXX should never be transported by vehicle, rather escorted on foot to any saferoom with a minimum distance of 5 km from any urban centers. SCP-XXXX is not to be brought near any sort of overpass, window or balcony. All flights flying within 30 km of ███████████████ are to be canceled during ██/██ on the basis of a national holiday. If SCP-XXXX is within 0.5 km of any densely populated urban center, they are to be terminated through any means necessary.

SCP-XXXX is to be shot on sight if spotted within 1 km of ████████████████.

It is theorized that the longer SCP-XXXX exists, the stronger its secondary effects become (see Addendum SCP-XXXX-A). As a safety precaution, the following policy is to be instated.
7:00 AM: If SCP-XXXX is neither apprehended nor terminated, the local police force is to be recruited to attempt to find SCP-XXXX.
12:00 PM: If SCP-XXXX remains neither apprehended nor terminated, they are to be shot on sight. All available agents in nearby cities are to be recruited to attempt to find SCP-XXXX.
3:30 PM: If SCP-XXXX isn’t terminated, the public is to be informed of SCP-XXXX, under the pretense of a dangerous terrorist located in the city.
8:30 PM: If SCP-XXXX isn’t terminated, martial law is declared. The public is to be informed SCP-XXXX is carrying a bomb and is hostile.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a human male estimated to be in their late thirties, 5’8” and approximately 190 lb. At approximately 3:44 AM on ██/██ every year, SCP-XXXX appears completely naked in a region roughly 10 km from ███████████████ (farthest appearance was 9.3 km, closest 0.2 km). SCP-XXXX will attempt to breach ██████████████ while displaying little to no self-preservation, with all attempts to restrict SCP-XXXX’s transit resulting in violence. SCP-XXXX exhibits a poor understanding of modern day society, which often results in SCP-XXXX’s termination( see Addendum XXXX-B).

After multiple fatal accidents (1966, 1967, 1969) surrounding SCP-XXXX occurred, they were brought to Foundation attention. SCP-XXXX exhibits it’s secondary effect upon getting within 4-6 km of ██████████████. Objects, infrastructure, animals and, in specific cases, [REDACTED] will manifest seemingly random breakage, aggression or malfunction, usually in such a way to inflict as much bodily harm upon SCP-XXXX as possible. (See Addendum XXXX-C).

SCP-XXXX speaks ancient Egyptian, and is highly resistant to attempts to subdue, growing agitated and lashing out. Containing SCP-XXXX is increasingly difficult, and damage caused by SCP-XXXX was growing until the Foundation stepped in (fatalities peaked in 1994, when a plane flying overhead malfunctioned, crashing into a densely populated area, killing 217, SCP-XXXX and causing upwards of $12.7 million of damage).

Addendum XXXX-A: Select instances of SCP-XXXX’s termination have been used to prove a correlation between time of manifestation and severity of instances in which SCP-XXXX is terminated in relation to public casualties:
-Car accident, 3 killed, 2 injuries. (Time: 9:52 AM, 1988)
-Building demolition preemptively occurred, 2 killed, 9 injured. (Time: 2:33 PM, 1993)
-Gas leak into sewers resulting in an explosion, 12 killed, 13 injured. (Time: 3:52 PM, 1995)
-Subway train brakes failed, 22 killed, 133 injured. (Time: 9:42 PM, 1998)
Note: SCP-XXXX survived the crash, and was taken to a local hospital.
-Plane engines malfunctioned, forcing a crash into a local hospital. 217 killed, 422 injured. (Time: 11:33 PM, 1998)
Note: Following the repeated incidents in 1998, SCP-XXXX was upgraded from Safe to Euclid by order of Dr. ██████.

Addendum XXXX-B: In several recorded instances, SCP-XXXX has exhibited a lack of understanding in modern situations. Such instances include:
-Walking into a busy street (1988)
-Attempting to cross a crosswalk at a red light (1990)
-Shooting themselves multiple times (1977,1979,1980)
-Threatening a police officer with a lead pipe, claiming “women can’t be guards” (1975,1988)
-Consuming plastic (1985,1987,1990,2001)
-Pulling the pin on a grenade, then attempting to holster said grenade (1992)

Addendum XXXX-C: Despite no prior signs of failure, breakage or malfunction, the following instances of SCP-XXXX secondary effect have been seen:
-Guns aimed at SCP-XXXX misfiring
-Balconies, overhangs and chandelier break, and fall
-Cars undergoing extremely unlikely malfunctions, in one instance exploding as SCP-XXXX entered (despite later tests proving said explosion was impossible barring sabotage)
-Pipes bursting
-Explosive triggers malfunctioning
-A pack of feral dogs (12), each with varying stages of rabies
-Poisonous insects and spiders aggressively attacking SCP-XXXX
