SCP-XXXX in its dormant state.

Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is stored within a standard containment locker at Containment Site-76. The temperature of the locker is to be kept between 20-22°C, and the relative humidity of the locker is to be kept between 43%-47%. Care should be taken that SCP-XXXX is not exposed to light levels stronger than 200 lux.

In the event that SCP-XXXX is damaged, restoration can be achieved with oil paints identical in composition to those on the object, with no loss of anomalous properties.

Description: SCP-XXXX is an oil-on-wood reproduction of a 1787 State Portrait of Maria Antonia Josephina Johanna1 and her children, Marie Thérèse Charlotte de France, Louis Joseph Xavier François de France, and Louis Charles de France. SCP-XXXX's anomalous properties activate when it is viewed by a person with at least one child. Once activated, SCP-XXXX appears to animate, playing through a 10-minute long scene before returning to its dormant state. Recordings of SCP-XXXX made during the active state show no change from the dormant state. Additionally, while brushstokes appear to vanish during the active state, tactile examination of the object confirm their presence.

Dendrocronological analysis dates the wooden panel of SCP-XXXX to 17██, a date supported by pigmentary analysis. However, the practice of using old panels must be taken into consideration, and as such it is impossible to determine the exact year of SCP-XXXX's creation. The contents of the object's active state, most notably the deaths of SCP-XXXX-1c2 and SCP-XXXX-1d3, suggest a creation date between 1789 and 1795.

04:46-05:50 Dark, indistinct, humanoid figures start to move in on SCP-XXXX-1a and SCP-XXXX-1d from the left side of SCP-XXXX. SCP-XXXX-1a grabs the chair she initially sat on and swings at the figures, driving them back.
