Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a steel-plate enforced container that must always be locked. It is under 24-hour surveillance via ceiling-anchored nub cameras with mounted sound systems. These provide SCP-XXXX with constant music and sound clips for behavioral testing. It is necessary that the room temperature does not exceed 0'Celsius, as SCP-XXXX prefers/and is more functional in cold climates.
Its cell is soundproofed to prevent successful attempts to trick personnel or breach containment. For sustenance, SCP-XXXX must be provided with a daily serving of 9 kilograms of meats; beef, chicken, dog and alligator are sufficient. Upon entering SCP-XXXX's cell, it is necessary for all personnel to wear a Kevlar-enforced hazmat suit for protection.
During the rare occasion of a transfer, it is to be escorted by 5 armed personnel: a point-man to guide it by the steel pole attached to its collar, and four other men to secure the remaining poles near its front and hindquarters. This is to be done in absolute silence, as SCP-XXXX has a desire to learn, mimic and manipulate any sound it hears and has used this ability to provoke/turn its escorts against one another. These habits deem it unpredictable and therefore, untrustworthy.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a quadruped with scaly, clawed appendages; that excludes the smaller, clawed arms (collar bone level) that help it feed. It has a disproportionate build in its rib cage such that the ribs protrude from its skin. SCP-XXXX's head is made of a skull-like cap on the upper half and has hollowed chambers inside its nose, allowing it to imitate what it hears. Its large ears signify amplified hearing to compensate for its poor eyesight. A messy, black mane starts from the top of its head and ends at the base of its tail. There are 6 holes (3 on both sides) of the neck which expel a hallucinogenic gas that causes those exposed to display signs of paranoia, savagery and chronic insomnia.
SCP-XXXX is very intelligent and willing to comply with interviews and interaction with other SCPs; this is likely because of its desire to "learn" and commit new sounds to memory. It shows interest in anything it hears, prompting it to imitate sounds that would trick personnel into aiding its escape. It despises sound clips that contain buzzing, metallic scraping and dog whistle frequencies. These panic SCP-XXXX into beating its head into the walls and floor until unconscious. If its attempts to do so fail, it becomes enraged and lashes out at any personnel in its container. It then expels the aforementioned hallucinogenic gas from the holes in its neck.
Should SCP-XXXX reach this state, it must be soothed with relaxing music (preferably soft orchestra or opera), and immediately sedated with gaseous morphine that is pumped into the room. Once sedated, the container is purged of the hallucinogenic and morphine gases to continue further testing.
Addendum XXXX-A: Because of SCP-XXXX's ability to vocal manipulate, verbal communication during interviews has been discontinued. While it does not fully understand human speech, it has used this to relentlessly harass and torment interviewing personnel with their own voices. It is now communicated with via rhythmic sounds. Morse code is used regularly and effectively.
Addendum XXXX-B: SCP-XXXX is sickened by temperatures above 0'Celsius, causing it to make groaning sounds in protest before seizing and vomiting a sticky, mucus-like substance. It is ill-advised to make direct skin contact with this excrement, as its effects are unknown.
