Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be placed in a storage locker within Site-XX. The confines of SCP-XXXX is to be soft-padded to prevent any potential mishap in shattering SCP-XXXX. Staff members authorized to handle SCP-XXXX outside of containment must wear full body covers at all times and ensure SCP-XXXX is safely harnessed onto a soft-padded container to prevent damage and direct physical contact.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a figurine of a plain white humanoid devoid of any facial features. SCP-XXXX measures 7.50cm in height and 3.25cm in diameter at its widest. Visual inspection suggests SCP-XXXX to be made of porcelain.

SCP-XXXX was determined anomalous due to three factors:
The first anomalous property was noticed upon its discovery; whenever SCP-XXXX comes into view to a human, henceforth known as the subject, will be afflicted with a paradoxical emotion towards SCP-XXXX. Subjects have described the feeling they receive from SCP-XXXX as love and hate simultaneously. Afflicted subject will also show a desire to approach and retreat from SCP-XXXX, but said desire is not particularly overwhelming, as subjects do not prove uncontrollable when commanded otherwise.

The second anomalous effect manifests once the subject, makes physical contact with SCP-XXXX. Once the subject is in contact with SCP-XXXX, the subject will appear to separate into two instances of the subject, hereafter SCP-XXXX-A and SCP-XXXX-B. SCP-XXXX-A will attempt to destroy SCP-XXXX via throwing it onto the ground, while SCP-XXXX-B will attempt to stop the destruction of SCP-XXXX. A struggle will then ensue between the two entities of the subject until either SCP-XXXX shatters or SCP-XXXX-A is incapacitated or expires. External interference was proven fruitful in separating the two subjects.

The third anomalous effect triggers when SCP-XXXX is shattered through any means. If SCP-XXXX shatters after triggering the second effect, both SCP-XXXX-A and SCP-XXXX-B will appear to merge together with an intact instance of SCP-XXXX being held by the subject. Subjects will usually show signs of distress and fatigue before collapsing. Upon recovery of the subject, subject will all state the event as an inner personal civil war, and felt both great hatred and love towards SCP-XXXX, but struggled to decide between the two actions. Subjects remain unaware of the events that took place whilst under the effects of SCP-XXXX. See Addendum-XXXX-01.
However, if SCP-XXXX is shattered without triggering the second effect, the third effect still manifests upon whomever shattered SCP-XXXX, lest it be directly or indirectly, as tests prove that even mechanical operation would subject the user or designer to the effect.

History: SCP-XXXX was first discovered on ██/██/2013 in ███████, Taiwan, when a local publishing company filed a police report of, as stated by the report, one of the employees is found fighting with his twin brother over a birthday present. The Foundation caught wind of the event through police passages and subsequently flagged and contained the event. Upon questioning and thorough investigation, the Foundation was unable to determine the source of the gift. All witnesses were administered amnesiacs and released after questioning.
