Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX must be contained in a 10 meter by 10 meter by 10 meter storage room, secured by Level 2 Clearance. The object must be contained in a plexiglass case, which should not be removed at any time unless specified by Class B Personnel. Any personnel required to relocate SCP-XXXX are required to wear noise cancelling headphones at all times while handling SCP-XXXX. If personnel remove the headphones at any time, they are to be issued a sedative immediately for removal of SCP-XXXX from the body, and the subject will be required to undergo a psychiatric evaluation once they regain consciousness.

Description: SCP-XXXX appears to be a set of 17th century Japanese samurai armor from the Sengoku period of warfare around the 1600s. It is black in color with three gold accents along the chest, and on the helmet, the face of a Japanese demon is depicted with golden horns. On the back of the helmet, the Japanese phrase "生まれ変わり" is carved in, which when translated, reads "reincarnation." Testing with Class D personnel has shown that when the armor is worn by any human, they appear to immediately gain the consciousness of what is assumed to be any of the previous wearers of the armor. The subject will enter a rage state and attempt to kill anyone in the vicinity. When worn, any physical impairment such as weight and agility are overwritten and they gain a level of strength and speed previously unknown to the subject.

If the subject is anywhere close to a distance of 10 meters from SCP-XXXX, they will begin to experience auditory hallucinations, consisting of what is believed to be the voices of the past wearers of the armor. The time in which these hallucinations will begin to occur varies between subjects (see Experiment Logs 1 and 2). Past wearers include not only Chinese and Japanese warlords throughout multiple centuries, but D Class individuals who have worn the armor in testing with SCP-XXXX (see Experiment Log 2 for further detail.) This entity will from here on be referred to as SCP-XXXX-1. It has been observed that over time, while in the vicinity of 10 meters close to the armor, the voices will grow louder to the point at which a strong pain in the earlobes is felt, and the person affected will either have to leave the vicinity, or they will attempt to put on the armor. It is unknown whether SCP-XXXX-1 is one entity or several, as multiple voices can be heard but electromagnetic frequency signatures point to one source. Therefore, it can be assumed that SCP-XXXX-1 is an amalgam of all previous owners of the armor. Judging by paintings from the era that the armor is assumed to originate from, the first wearer of SCP-XXXX is speculated to be Emperor ██████████ ████████ of the █████ Dynasty, and the most recent wearer prior to testing was Emperor ██████ ████████ of the ██████ Dynasty.

SCP-XXXX was discovered in the bamboo forest of █████, Japan. Visitors of the forest reported hearing voices while walking along the trails, and SCP Foundation Mobile Task Force MU-13 was sent in to investigate possible SCP activity. Deep in the bamboo forest, a small shrine holding the armor was discovered. It was quickly retrieved and contained after multiple Task Force members began to experience a state of distress after hearing the auditory hallucinations caused by SCP-XXXX and SCP-XXXX-1. It is unknown how SCP-XXXX appeared in the forest, and if it was placed there by the previous owner.
