SCP-XXXX.

rating: 0+x

Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be fenced in with two layers of barb-wire fencing in a 3km radius from SCP-XXXX-A, with several armed guards posted approx. ¼ a kilometer space between each other. Entrance to SCP-XXXX is to be monitored by four armed guards at a time and circulated regularly. SCP-XXXX-A Is to be encased in a large Plexiglas structure protruding from its front most face. The structure is to consist of a double Steel Reinforced Door airlock system in order to minimize outbreak potential. Entrance to SCP-XXXX-A requires permission from Class-B personnel and accompaniment by two armed guards. For samples of SCP-XXXX-B, A Class B personnel is required to accompany the trip. All samples of SCP-XXXX-B Are to be contained in separate containment units. All samples are to be turned in to Site 64 at the end of each journey. If any unit larger than 1m X 1m X 1m is required, please consult the operating official of Site 64. All samples are to be listed in a catalog, and labled as SCP-XXXX-B-##, the number in relation to the order in which SCP-XXXX-B is discovered.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a large nature walk bridge within the swamps of █████████. The bridge is a round structure approx. 4 kilometers in circumference, with the beginning and ending at the same point. The Entrance of the bridge is marked by a large archway made of ██████ wood from local trees. This archway seems to be some portal, hereby referred to as SCP-XXXX-A.
Explorations using entrance to SCP-XXXX through SCP-XXXX-A have yielded that, despite the physical length of the bridge, SCP-XXXX seems to curve indefinitely and never reconnects. Accessing SCP-XXXX through any other means than through the archway provides no anomalies. Further exploration has revealed wildlife that live within the swamps of the bridge. The wildlife is hereby referred to as SCP-XXXX-B. None of the specimens acquired match any known species of animal.
It has been found that species of SCP-XXXX-B become more complex as the length of SCP-XXXX from SCP-XXXX-A increases. The rate of complexity seems to coincide with normal evolutionary change standard for a swamp of its form. As such it is assumed that, though comparing normal Earth Fossil dates to similar SCP-XXXX-B, and placing them on a timeline:length ratio, Site 64 has discovered that 1m of SCP-XXXX is equivalent to ███ thousand Earth years of development. However, this estimate requires speculation as to the development of Earth lifeforms had there not been any Mass Extinctions. As such, this estimate is to be taken with a grain of salt.
The Foundation discovered SCP-XXXX in 19██ when local stories from around █████████ began to circulate. These stories involve a local who walked into SCP-XXXX-A, and returned several hours later raving about 'The Ancient Beasts'. The population was given Class-C Amnesiacs and the site was removed from Satellite Imaging Records.

Exploration A - Date 8/6/19██

Goal: Acquire SCP-XXXX-B Plant life.
Results: 15 minutes into walking, Dr. Q████ acquired several different specimens of fern, tree, grass, and moss plant life, as well as [DATA EXPUNGED].
Analysis: Though having basic botanic structures, the plants themselves match no known species of swamp plants.

Addendum: A [Many personnel have asked for some specimens for “Research Purposes”. Dr. Gregorri, Head of site 64 replied: “Testing of SCP-XXXX-B Plants is just fine. Smoking SCP-XXXX-B is not fine. Please maintain decorum.”

Exploration B - Date 8/7/19██

Goal: Acquire SCP-XXXX-B Animal Life.
Results: 45 minutes into walking, Dr. Q█████ acquired one specimen of fish like animal, similar to a tadpole.
Analysis: As well as finding a single complex organism in the water, analysis of the water also showed many microorganisms that seem bacteria-like in structure.

Exploration C - Date 8/9/19██

Goal: Acquire SCP-XXXX-B Microorganisms.
Results: Over the course of 30 minutes, taking a sample every five minutes of walking, we have discovered that Microorganisms do not exist until Approx. 300m into the walk.
Analysis: The Microorganisms seem to become more complex as the walk continues, from basic single cellular organisms into multi-cellular organisms.

Addendum: B [Dr. Estus has requested a multi-hour long trek into the bridge with the following supplies: A Digital Camera, a pallet of containment units, and a team of scientists. Request was approved by Class-B Personal, Dr. B█████.]

Exploration D - Date 8/11/19██

Goal: Acquire SCP-XXXX-B.
Results: Several hours after the trek first began, a retrieval team found the team of Dr. Estus. The team seems to have been mutilated by means of [DATE EXPUNGED].
**Analysis: The team was able to collect several fish like organisms, as well as several insect and reptilian like species. As keeping with the rest of the samples, none of the new samples match documented species.

Addendum: C Dr. [REDACTED], colleague of Dr. Estus, has requested Site 64 to supply armed guards on missions in addition to border control, and that Site 64 is to supply D-Class Personnel for the use of supply movement into and out of SCP-XXXX. Dr. Gregorri has agreed to supply armed guards and D-Class Personnel.

Exploration E - Date 10/21/19██

Goal: Acquire hostile SCP-XXXX-B species.
Results: 1 hour into the trek, the team of Dr. [REDACTED] was successfully able to acquire a very hostile animal, similar to [REDACTED], with body parts capable of [DATA EXPUNGED], as it did with the team of Dr. Estus.
