Several devices displaying SCP-XXXX instances.

Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class : Safe

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX physical instances are to be kept in a standard storage room at Site-76. All research must be monitored by B-Class researcher after written application demand was authorized by B-Class personnel with Level 4 clearance or higher.
SCP-XXXX virtual/numeric instances, due to the nature of SCP-XXXX, cannot be contained, and attempts to delete SCP-XXXX, to close access to it, and to isolate the servers containing it were unsuccessful. Thus, the servers displaying SCP-XXXX instances must be monitored at all time through protocol PM-4651, and a batch is to be provided with the package to avoid the anomalous cognitohazard effects on civilians downloading it.
Note: Copies of SCP-XXXX can be removed and deleted from any type of storage, but the original package present on various servers cannot, and identification of the concerned servers' location and IP is impossible as of today.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a numeric file package found in various forms, such as Disc, different types of game cartridge, USB key, ZIP package file and more. It includes six principal files, that are entitled as following in the original package:

● SCP-XXXX-r, a "Readme" type text file explaining to the user how to use SCP-XXXX-i:

        "How to use SCP-XXXX-i :

        - Click on the executable file entitled "SCP-XXXX-i.exe"
(You may not see the ".exe" extension, but click on it anyway.)

        - The game will then start, all you have to do is to follow the
instructions or find out yourself what to do.
Press f5 to restart the game, alt+f4 to close it.
Press f3 to access your data."

SCP-XXXX-r doesn't seem to have any anomalous properties on it's own, however, it will still be observed with caution.

● SCP-XXXX-t, a text file describing a protocol to use with SCP-XXXX-i:

        " Tutorial for Fun !

- First, you need to acquire SCP-178, and run SCP-XXXX-i while wearing SCP-178.
- Be aware that SCP-178's usual effects won't appear as you use SCP-XXXX-i. You can also use
SCP-750 instead of SCP-178, but the fun won't be as good as when using SCP-178 !
- Just wait for the game to start, and try to beat it !"

See Addendum for the results of the protocol's experiment.

● SCP-XXXX-i, an executable file displaying random content such as interactive games and applications (69,7%)*, animations (22,2%)*, random images (4%)* and random lines (3,1%)* of what appears to be an unknown code, currently being recorded and researched in the Foundation's Laboratories.
In extremely rare cases (1%)*, SCP-XXXX-i has displayed content concerning or referring to other SCPs, such as classified documents or secret video/audio recordings. The link between SCP-XXXX and other SCPs is still unknown, but the investigation through the SCP-XXXX-5 interface is in progress.
97,3%* of test subjects who played SCP-XXXX-i became addicted to it, requesting more time to play the game. In this case, the subjects either stops playing the game by himself due to need for sleep, or continue to play the game without presenting symptoms of exhaustion. If subject is removed by force from this state, aggressive desire to play the game is manifested until the subject falls asleep, which happens in the following seven days. When subject wakes up, his memories of playing the game seems to be replaced by information about [Data Expunged], always confirmed to be true.
In the case where test subject isn't affected by the addictive properties of SCP-XXXX-i, he appears to be immune to cognitohazard and psychological effects or anomalies, and it's been determined that this immunity manifests in the subject after interaction with SCP-XXXX-i.
(* at the time of writing.)

See Addendum for a list of SCP-XXXX-i's known content.

● SCP-XXXX-4, a "Readme" type text file explaining to the user how to use SCP-XXXX-5:

"1. Click on SCP-XXXX-5 executable application.
2. Ask yourself a question in your head.
3. Push the button in the center of the window.
4. The answer will be displayed for you."

● SCP-XXXX-5, a simple interface displaying the sentence "Feel free to ask !", and a single button. When the button is pressed, a sentence supposed to be the answer to the user's question is displayed on screen, though it's not fully accurate and sometimes even completely unrelated to the question.

● SCP-XXXX-6, an executable file that, when starting, displays the sentence "Try to escape now !!!" with a smiley. When the player interacts with the game through keyboard or mouse, the window displays the sentence "This cannot be closed ; unless you use alt+f4…"
Upon using such command, the window shuts down normally.
If the last sentence refers to the file only or to the package itself is unknown, as SCP-XXXX-6 may be the source of the impossibility to identify, delete, close, and isolate SCP-XXXX and the servers containing it.
