Object Classification: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: All known manufactured instances of SCP-XXXX are kept in the Devices Storage wing at Research/Storage Site-16. All devices are to be inspected on a weekly basis by the assigned electronics technician and technical team, with any modifications to the maintenance cycle being approved by the Storage director beforehand. At the time of this writing, there are currently sixteen (16) instances of SCP-XXXX contained and maintained at Site-16.

Any instances of SCP-XXXX that are recovered in the field and not associated with any known groups of interested are to be inspected by a certified Foundation technician at first opportunity, and then sent to Site-16 utilizing a Class II mobile device containment unit (MDCU) for necessary repairs, research, and storage.

Any persons captured utilizing SCP-XXXX are to be administered Class R amnestics, combined with suggestion therapy, to destroy any evidence of SCP-XXXX's existence.

Any instances of SCP-XXXX that are recovered or captured from a known group of interest are to be quarantined in a Class I MCDU, and sent to Site-15 for analysis and containment. If this is impractical, SCP-XXXX is to be destroyed in the field by whatever means are available to the agent.

All Foundation agents and MTF operatives in the field are to utilize the FE-151 "Stonewall" jammers to defeat rogue instances of SCP-XXXX in the field.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a modified radar speed gun system, utilizing the body of a Stalker Pro radar gun system. In place of a counter is a LCD display, and there are ports for data transfer to and from a computer - no known software has been encountered that can utilize the information that SCP-XXXX generates.

The inside of SCP-XXXX is similar to the internals found on conventional radar guns, with a major exception - the Gunn diode oscillator unit is replaced with an unknown oscillator unit, which has resisted all attempts of opening available to technical staff at Site-16. Attempts to study the diode unit are ongoing.

When SCP-XXXX is aimed and fired at a person, the object sends out a radio pulse that is reflected back, forming an outline of the person on the object's screen. In contrast to a regular radio pulse, the pulse emerging from SCP-XXXX does not seem to be affected by objects or barriers in between the object and its target. The maximum range of detection has been determined through experimentation to be 120 meters, with a 30 degree angle cone from center.

Humans that have been hit by the originating pulse reflect a pulse back to the object, which then forms a visual display on the LCD screen. This screen, in addition to showing the position of the targets, also displays a color on the screen. This color, according to the GOC "Mooneyes" manual, corresponds to the nature of the target, with specific colors designating specific anomalous attributes.

Notably, SCP-XXXX does not appear to register other objects or even other anomalous humans on the radar screen, thus making it unreliable at detecting most forms of anomalies that the Foundation encounters.

SCP-XXXX appears to have been manufactured by an experimental wing of Prometheus Labs, prior to its dissolution in 19██, and the resulting technology now being utilized by the Global Occult Coaition (GOC). Foundation intelligence officials and engineering officials have concluded that SCP-XXXX was an early generation model of the VERITAS units now fielded by GOC PHYSICS units, and heavily attributed to the organization's newfound successes throughout its production run.

Addendum XXXX-1: Following the subsequent events of a Coalition interdiction involving [OPERATION CLASSIFIED - LEVEL 5 CLEARANCE REQUIRED], one copy of SCP-XXXX, complete with instruction manual, carrying case, two spare batteries, and a SDHC card, was captured from a fleeing Coalition agent. Prior to its proper recovery, the device was remotely detonated, injuring two Foundation intelligence agents and one Foundation technician. The instruction manual and SDHC card were recovered without incident, and attempts to access the data on the card are currently being attempted at Site-15.
Addendum XXXX-2: Foundation researchers at Site-16 have successfully created a signal jammer device specifically for SCP-XXXX, with its active components generating a radio field that actively disrupts SCP-XXXX waves within its zone of influence. The resulting technology has been designated as "Stonewall", and is currently manufactured at Site-16.
