SCP-2584 (WORK IN PROGRESS- DON'T STEAL THE NUMBER)

Item #: SCP-2584

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-2584 must be kept in a Computer, USB, or some other kind of Hard Drive (that will be referred to as SCP-2584-1).
Said Hard Drive will be contained in a six (6)-digits locked safe. The password to the safe can be given to every member of the foundation which passed a Mental Sanity test.
SCP-2584 can be used for testing by any Foundation member which got the password; howewer, SCP-2584 mustn't be used for a period of time higher than one (1) hour and a half.
Personnel using it for a longer period shall undergo a process of [REDACTED], and then put back to work on a different SCP.

Description: SCP-2584 is ".exe" program, scripted in DOS computer language.
The program, when started, will display the following message: "Welcome to Foundation.exe. About which SCP do you need informations?".
Then, a input command will appear. You will need to input a number, and the program will display data about the Object which corresponds to the number.
Notice that the number you need to input isn't the number to which the SCP is associated (like, if you input "2", you won't get data about SCP-002, but about SCP-097. For the complete list of tried numbers, see Addendum 156-A). No apparent relation between the numbers and the selected object was found.

SCP-2584 can show data about every SCP already in the possession of the foundation: howewer, if the program is asked to show data about a SCP not in the Foundation possesion, it will show the following error message: "Sorry, no available data on the SCP was found. Please, try with another Object".
Is to be noticed that SCP-2584 does not need written document about the SCP to work, as it can show information about every SCP already discovered: howewer, if a document exists, SCP-2584 will show what's written on it. If SCP-2584 is asked to provide data about itself, the program will shut down, and the computer it's used on will as well.
Is also to be noticed that SCP-2584 can't be fooled by a false document: if a SCP document is switched with another, the program will show the correct document for the SCP. If the document is destroyed, SCP-2584 will show a temporal error, which will be resolved two (2) minutes after the displaying of the error, even if the document is not replaced.

People using SCP-2584 for a period of time superior than thirty (30) minutes will start to feel a sensation of curiosity towards the SCPs and the Foundation in general.
After a period of time of one (1) hour, the aforementioned sensation will increase to a great curiosity. After a period of usage lasting more than one (1) hour and a half, the sensation will increas to the state of obsession and sometimes of [REDACTED].

SCP-2584 was discovered after a computer hacker, named ██████ █████████, from the town of ████, tried to enter the Foundation to steal SCP-███.
After Doctor James ████████ stopped him, his house was perquisited, thus leading to the discovering of SCP-2584.
After a week of experimenting with the SCP, Agent Carl █████████ was caught trying to steal SCP-063 on ██/██/20██. He was given Class-A amnesiac and assegnated to another SCP. For more info on the incident, see Addendum B-Incident NKS-15.

Note from Doctor Johan Hicklebur
Dammit, we have to stop this experiment. It was kind of fun, but after it revealed info about that SCP I'm not sure about what else it may reveal. information about SCP-███ or even about SCP-[REDACTED]: we can't let them know about it, or we'll have to terminate them… and we're already running low on personal.
-Dr.Hicklebur

Addendum B-Incident NSK-15
On ██/██/20██, Agent Carl █████████ was caught trying to steal SCP-063.
Before being given the amnesiac, he was interrogated. Here's a report of the interwiew.

Interwiewer: Why did you try to steal SCP-063?
Agent: I… needed to. I can't explain it. It's like… I needed to know more about it. It's like
a obsession…
Interwiewer: So, you tried to steal it because of this obsession you had.
Agent: Right.
Interwiewer: Do you remember what were you doing in the week before the incident.
Agent: Of course. I were working on a SCP. A new one. It was discovered jus' two weeks > ago.
Interwiewer: That SCP is… SCP-2584, right?
Agent: Right. I was workin' on SCP-2584.
Interwiewer: Did the SCP give data about SCP-063?
Agent: Yes. What 'bout it?
Interwiewer: Nothing. How do you feel?
Agent: I feel well. I just hope they release me. I have to continue my researching.
