Item #: SCP-2167
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-2167 is to be kept in a standard iron safe, and must be securely sealed inside as to prevent light leaks. SCP-2167's safe is to be kept in a 6 X 6 ft concrete room, with a steel table for testing purposes, & four security camera's stationed in each corner. If SCP-2167 is removed from the safe & exposed to light, eye contact must be maintained at all times unless personnel are instructed to break eye contact, and the doors must be lock behind any personnel who enter the room.
Should a containment breach of SCP-2167 occur, any instance of SCP-2167 that has been found should be returned to the safe, with at least one person maintaining eye contact at all times.
Description: SCP-2167 is a small collection of 4 different types of glass. This ranges from standard glass used in window panes to sea-glass. If any shards of SCP-2167 are exposed to light and are not in the line of sight of any living being, it will phase through the current surface it was placed on at the time, and will appear in another location.
Since there are multiple instances of each type of SCP-2167, Each instance to be kept with its respective type. Any staff who place an instance of one type with another will be instructed to correct their error immediately.
Upon further examination, when left alone with audio equipment, recordings of disembodied voices have been taken, confirming that SCP-2167's ability is a result of being tied to a spiritual presence.
As a result of SCP-2167's ability, it has been known to appear in places where personnel least expects it to. It appears that, depending on the type of glass, it will move to a location that it most relates to. However, these locations can sometimes be hazardous to on-site personnel. See testing logs for experiments involving SCP-2167.
SCP-2167 was found in an abandon storage facility in ██████, Belgium. During Retrieval, It was found that multiple instances of SCP-2167-03 were scattered across the ground of the storage locker where SCP-2167 was stored. 3 members of staff received minor injuries from SCP-2167-03. The safe was registered to a man named W.J. Strider. Further details are vague as documents pertaining to Mr. Strider and the safe have received excessive water damage and are indecipherable at this time.
Along with each collection of SCP-2167-01 through 04, there appear to be records of buildings of which each type of SCP-2167 has originated from. These notes will be located with the testing logs.
Test A - 01/10/2015
Subject: SCP-2167-01(1): A piece of ceramic glass thought to be part of an old baking dish.
Procedure: SCP-2167-01(1) is placed on the testing table, and eye contact is broken.
Results: At 0100 hours, SCP-2167-01(1) was found in Site 15's onsite Kitchen, amongst other ceramic cookware. When eye contact was broken again, SCP-2167-1 was found back on the testing table.
Analysis: SCP-2167-01(1) prefers to move where culinary activities are prominent. It is believed that instances of SCP-2167-01 will try to hide in small spaces where they are hard to reach.
Test B - 03/10/2015
Subject: SCP-2167-02(1): A piece of brown sea-glass.
Procedure: SCP-2167-02(1) is placed on the testing table, and eye contact is broken.
Results: Again, at 0100 hours, SCP-2167-02(1) was found inside a glass of water, along with a small amount of sand and various species of coral. The color of the sand is similar to that of the sand of the beaches of the Bahamas.
Analysis: It appears that instances of SCP-2167-02(1) have a love of water above all else. The fact that SCP-2167-02(1) is able to generate aquatic lifeforms is truly amazing in its own respect.
Test B - 05/10/2015
Subject: SCP-2167-03(1): The base of a wine glass.
Procedure: SCP - 2167-03(1) is placed on the testing table, and eye contact is broken, as per usual.
Results: It took a little longer than usual for SCP-2167-03(1) to move. But once it did, it moved onto the floor of one of the main hallways of Site-15, where it was stepped on by Agent █████. As of 0800 hours today, Agent █████ has resumed his duties.
Analysis: Because of its hostile nature, Further testing with instances of SCP-2167-03 are prohibited.
Test B - 09/10/2015
Subject: SCP-2167-04(1): A piece of a stained glass window.
Procedure: Personnel followed same instructions as previous three tests.
Results: After a 15 minutes, SCP-2167-04(1) was found in the lockbox that it was removed from. A second attempt to remove SCP-2167-04(1) again resulted in the container being closed and locked.
Analysis: Further attempts have been made to open the lockbox containing all instances of SCP-2167-04, but all attempts have been futile. Furthur testing with SCP-2167-04 is impossible at this point.
Note SCP-2167-01: "This first specimen comes from a restaurant I used to frequent. The owner recently passed because of an accident, and now seems as good a time as any to begin my final task. These will be the final records of the exploits of my company as I know that this will be my end. But I shall go to it with bravado. Sincerely, Walton J. Strider."
Note SCP-2167-02: "This second specimen comes from a collection of things I found on the coastline when I was ten. It brings back memories of my parents and their old house by the beach. I miss them dearly. I know I may not come out of this as the same man as I was before, but I must do this before he comes. Sincerely, Walton J. Strider."
Note SCP-2167-03: "This third specimen comes from a bar where a normal night turned into a particularly violent affair at the hands of a few sketchy characters. These broken wine glasses are all that's left of the establishments legacy, as the bar mysteriously burned down after I visited. I have purchased a safe and four lockboxes to keep the specimens safe. I know now that he is close. Sincerely, Walton J. Strider."
Note SCP-2167-04: "This final specimen comes from a small chapel I used to attend. It collapsed a long time ago, but I know he is here now. I hear him knocking at the door and banging at the windows. He has come for me, and soon he shall have me. As the great William Shakespear said, "Cowards die many times before their deaths; the valiant never taste of death but once." For the last time, Walton J. Strider."
Addendum 1: It has been found that the residence of Mr. Strider was burned down on ██/██/████. According to a newspaper article that was released five days after, the fire had originated from the parlor and spread from there. Mr. Strider was not found.
