Item #: SCP-3932

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-3932 must be contained in a twenty (20) m x twenty (20) m x five (5) m room that is devoid of any oxygen and has iron covering the walls and floor. The object is to be placed under constant video surveillance by Class B personnel. If SCP-3932 is subject to relocation, the object must be placed in a five (5) m x five (5) m x five (5) m container with the thickness of the walls and floors being at least half a meter thick until arrival at the next containment site.

Description: SCP-3932 is an invisible entity that is approximately one point five (1.5) meters tall and covers an area of half (.5) a meter and it located at Site-██. The only way the object is traceable is by observing an effect that it produces within it's container. Whenever the entity is around metal (primarily iron), it will cause it to rust instantaneously; the metal will return to normal when it is out of the area that the entity covers.

SCP-3932 affects any living being within the area it covers by turning the living being into rust permanently; provided that the environment it's in contains at least ██% of oxygen. Dr. ██████ has researched that the victims who were exposed to the object in a normal environment were still leaving in their rust form, even years after turning into rust; it is still unknown if they can be turned back to normal or if they will retain their memories and behaviors.

Addendum #3932-1: It was reported in █████, ██████ that an odd occurrence was happening when people observed SCP-3932 turn metal into rust (and in rare cases, turning them into corrosion). Citizens often only got a glimpse of the object's effects before the object would flee. Reports were then sent to The Foundation when people made of rust were starting to appear within █████, ██████. The Mobile Task Force Beta-7 was sent out and observed the entity before successfully containing SCP-3932 and locating it to Site-██.
