Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: The home surrounding SCP-XXXX has been possessed under imminent domain, under the guise of a freeway being built where the house now stands. No entry is allowed in or out of the former home by non-foundation members. Experimentation with SCP-XXXX is allowed, provided that all staff follow typical bathroom use guidelines for all foundation restrooms including, but not limited to washing one's hands after use, and replacing the toilet paper as needed. See employee hand book, page 12 for more details.

Description: SCP-XXXX is an otherwise unremarkable bathroom containing a toilet, a sink, a mirror, a light switch and a ceiling light and racks for holding toilet paper and hand towels. The toilet and sink work as expected under normal circumstances. SCP-XXXX's anomalous effects occur when the door is locked from the inside. The air temperature begins to lower at a very slow rate, as does the oxygen content. The former is effected by normal heat producing objects (such as running hot water from the sink and creating steam) and the latter is affected by the respiration of living things inside the bathroom. Entities inside the bathroom can survive up to 72 hours in the bathroom before succumbing to asphyxiation or hypothermia. When inside the bathroom with the door locked, no light will enter from below the door and air and heat will be leeched from below the door as well. No sound will pass through the door, though the sound of moving water can be heard in the walls when the toilet is flushed. GPS tracking shows that when the door is locked, the bathroom does not exist on any known location on Earth. Its position returns when the door is unlocked. When the door is locked from the inside, there is no way to open the door with conventional or unconventional means. While the paint on the door can be damaged or scratched off, the door itself cannot be damaged. Attempts to enter the bathroom by destroying the walls, floor, or ceiling from the outside have proven impossible. Objects slipped under the door from inside while the door is locked, have not been recovered. Objects slipped under the door from the outside will appear on the floor of the bathroom when the door is unlocked.

Addendum: Research as to whether SCP-XXXX relocates to an as of yet found part of our universe or if it actually leaves our reality is ongoing.
