Special Containment Procedures
SCP-XXXX is to be contained in a 2x2x2 metre high-security containment vault and is to be guarded by 4 Security officers. Security officers are to be rotated every two weeks with psychological evaluations before and after their stay of duty. All instances of SCP-XXXX-1 are to be detained for questioning and possible termination. Co-operative cases of SCP-XXXX-1 are to be detained for an interview and psychological evaluation. The use of lethal force on instances of SCP-XXXX-1 is authorised but discouraged. Any instance of SCP-XXXX-1 that successfully presses the delete button on SCP-XXXX-1 is to be immediately terminated.
Description
SCP-XXXX is a keyboard that was owned by Dr ████ ███████. When the delete button is pressed by a humanoid, they will die in the following four week period. SCP-XXXX also possesses a mind-affecting ability that causes about 20% people who have seen or heard about SCP-XXXX to doubt the lethality of the delete button. Victims of SCP-XXXX's mental effects will be hence identified as SCP-XXXX-1. SCP-XXXX-1 will attempt to press the button in order to prove the effects of SCP-XXXX untrue. Due to the danger SCP-XXXX-1 poses to site security if it manages to convince others of SCP-XXXX's falsehood, they are to be detained or terminated with extreme prejudice. Any instance of SCP-XXXX-1 that manages to press the delete button on SCP-XXXX is deemed an ultimate liability and is to be terminated as soon as possible.
Detained SCP-XXXX-1 instances tend to act similarly in manner as they would unaffected by SCP-XXXX albeit more irritable.
