Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: A female Class D personnel imprinted upon by SCP-XXXX is to remain with SCP-XXXX at all times. SCP-XXXX’s enclosure should reflect only the basic needs of an adult female. Should the death of the personnel occur, she is to be replaced by another Class D personnel meeting the same specifications immediately. Self-identified males are prohibited from interacting with SCP-XXXX within its enclosure if there is not an existing instance of SCP-XXXX-A.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a doll filled with cotton that is approximately 1m tall when standing. None of its materials exhibit anomalous properties when separated from the whole. SCP-XXXX-A is the designation for the individual currently imprinted upon by SCP-XXXX.

Though originally stationary, SCP-XXXX is capable of independent locomotion and speech. It speaks with a rhythmic cadence in an accent appropriate to its region of origin with volume never exceeding 35 dB. It is capable of generating a substance near its eyes with an identical chemical makeup to human tears (henceforth referred to simply as "tears") and it responds to pain stimuli in a manner identical to that of a young child. Its body does not appear to absorb fluids such as water or blood.

If SCP-XXXX has not imprinted, when a sentient individual self-identifying as an adult female enters the same room as SCP-XXXX, the subject becomes convinced that SCP-XXXX is a living being and experiences overwhelming desire to care for it, seeing it as if it were her child. The subject, hereafter referred to as SCP-XXXX-A, can recall all events experienced by previous subjects since their imprinting with perfect clarity. All memories of SCP-XXXX-A prior to imprinting appear to remain in place unless they conflict with those implanted by SCP-XXXX.

Instances of SCP-XXXX-A may experience personality shifts during the imprinting process, with more significant changes recorded in instances of SCP-XXXX-A who formerly possessed empathy quotients of 35 or lower. All recorded instances of SCP-XXXX-A have experienced shifts in manner of speech, becoming more formal and acquiring a light to moderate accent matching SCP-XXXX. SCP-XXXX-A is considered a Foundation object as soon as imprinting occurs, and should be treated as such. Containment does not affect the emotional state of SCP-XXXX-A. Even in absence of all recreational objects, activities, and social interaction aside from periodic interviews and examinations, SCP-XXXX-A does not grow restless or depressed and appears to only need the company of SCP-XXXX.

The imprinting effect of SCP-XXXX only takes place when an individual is in the same room as SCP-XXXX. Personnel communicating with SCP-XXXX from behind a wall or other divider are not influenced by SCP-XXXX regardless of whether or not it has imprinted. Once SCP-XXXX has imprinted, it will not imprint again until SCP-XXXX-A is dead, and other personnel may interact with it safely within its enclosure.

SCP-XXXX was retrieved from ████ ███, ██████, England by Field Agent █████████████, who would later be recognized as SCP-XXXX-A1 and allowed to continue work after the imprinting was proven not to be a security threat. As of 2018, █ personnel have become instances of SCP-XXXX-A.
