SCP-XXXX-1 without SCP-XXXX-2

Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Elucid

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is contained in a stainless steel safe 100 cm by 100 cm by 100 cm large, inserted into a cavity in a cell with 2 ply stainless walls and ceiling and a concrete floor. Entrance to the room is an airlock with 2 ply doors. In case of SCP-XXXX-2 being removed, temperature between plys is decreased to -40 °C. All personnel entering the cell must wear a hazmat suit, unless permission is given by the present Site Director. If not for testing purposes, their stay must last less than 5 minutes.

Description: SCP-XXXX was retrieved by Mobile Task Force ██ from █████████, Ukraine, after █████ ██████ took it for a normal vodka bottle and opened it. Due to this around █.███ people died, and the city was evacuated. After containment it was held at Site-██, but after incident XXXX-B it was moved to Area-██

SCP-XXXX consists of two parts: SCP-XXXX-1 and SCP-XXXX-2. SCP-XXXX-1 appears to be a vodka bottle, yearbook ██45, approximately 25 cm tall and 5 cm wide, of a russian company ████████. SCP-XXXX-2 is a 4 cm long, 2 cm wide on top and 1.5 cm wide on bottom wooden cork. When trying to replaced it with another cork, the new one will be destroyed, and SCP-XXXX-2 will [DATA EXPUNGED].

When a person looks directly at SCP-XXXX, he/she enters a state similiar to this caused by SCP-012, in which he/she tries to remove SCP-XXXX-2. If the person succeeds, SCP-XXXX-1 starts producing toxic gas. After doing so subject returns to sanity.

The gas is 90% transparent and appears to always lead upwards or horizontally with the speed of at least 5 km/h, passing trough all materials, except metals.1 Synthetic polymers can also slow down this process, but not stop it. If it reaches a temperature smaller than 30 °C it condensates into simple vodka.2 It's extremely toxic to living beings. After contact it extremely weakens the subject, making it impossible to close SCP-XXXX without proper equipment. Further exposure to it causes death. The gas alone can threaten an UK-CLASS end-of-the-world scenario when not contained, so caution is advised.
