Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Safe Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a safe in the office of Dr. Cree. Any testing on the object must be approved by Dr. Cree and must only be tested on D-class personnel. SCP-XXXX is to be kept in an fireproof safe in the office of Dr. Cree. Unless approved by Dr. Cree, no open flames is to be within a ten meter radius of SCP-XXXX, And all tests are to be conducted on D-class personnel. Any foundation staff that has been affected by SCP-XXXX is to immediately be taken into isolation for at least a full day. This will halt its effects.

Description: SCP-XXXX is an American flag that is 0.61 meters wide and 0.91 long. (2 by 3 feet.) Everything is visibly normal about the flag, except for the high resistance it has to stains and wear. When the American pledge of allegiance is played from any source within the same room of SCP-XXXX, (Reading, audio, ect.) SCP-XXXX’s supernatural properties will activate. Any human within the same room or container as SCP-XXXX and the audible pledge of allegiance has a chance of being affected. If the subject is not standing while the pledge can be heard, sometime within 2-24 hours, the subject will be put into a situation with a lack of liberty if not killed. (Such as: Wrongly being put into the prison system, Being sold into sexual slavery, [DATA EXPUNGED], or through circumstance, moving to a Communist/Dictatorship nation.) This effect can not be avoided, as subjects put into isolation lose liberty in the solution itself. When SCP-XXXX is within an audible distance of the pledge of allegiance, thermal imaging has recorded that it raises temperature as if it was living.

Circumstances Of Recovery: SCP-XXXX came to the foundation’s attention after a spike of wrongful arrests and disappearances has been traced to a social studies class at ████████ high school located in Washington State. Agent Adams, whom was posing as an student teacher, failed to stand for the pledge of allegiance. He was then wrongly arrested for a drug charge later that day. The foundation then seized SCP-XXXX after it was identified that the affected students do not normally stand for the pledge of allegiance.

Addendum: August 14, 2013, Dr. Price was smoking a cigarette while transporting SCP-XXXX to testing. What resulted was Dr. Price accidentally burning SCP-XXXX, which caused Dr. Price to ignite into flames, which resulted in a fire causing heavy damages to foundation property. SCP-XXXX then changed to Euclid class. It is now known that any sort of disrespect to SCP-XXXX will result in some sort of repercussion.
