Special Containment Procedures: SCP-xxxx is to be contained within a salt-water aquarium tank ["the tank"]. The tank may be kept at conditions typically appropriate for the cultivation of coral: specific gravity 1.023 - 1.025, 24.4 to 27.7°C, alkalinity from 2.1 to 2.5 meq/L, calcium 400 - 450 ppm, magnesium 1200 - 1400 ppm, ammonia, nitrite, nitrate and phospate 0 ppm.

The tank is to measure 121.9 by 45.7 by 53.3 in centimeters, containing 284 liters of water, and be constructed of glass for easy observation. If the item is to be transported, smaller tanks of different materials (e.g. steel) are acceptable, so long as appropriate space is maintained between each specimen.

A solution of opiates and amnestics [2 parts oxycodone, 1 part ██████ at 1.2 liters] is to be introduced to the tank environment at 0000, 0800, and 1600 hours. Flakes or pellets of nutrients and vitamins, or "fish food", are to be introduced to the tank at 0000 and 1200 hours. Solid food "treats" may also be introduced, but respecting the limited mobility of the specimens, should be delivered directly via an instrument (e.g. tongs or forks).
