Item #: SCP-2XXX
Object Class: S̶a̶f̶e̶ Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: The area around SCP-2XXX has been divided into 4 subzones of which non-visual anomalous affects will take place. Area 4 designated the "Cold Zone" is the 3-2 meter diameter around SCP-2XXX's containment case of which no anomalous affects have occurred but are thought to have the potential of doing so. The "Warm Zone" is the 1.8 meter diameter around SCP-2XXX which few Class D Personnel reported feeling the affects of the object. This zone constituted the placing of the "Cold Zone" as a precaution. The "Hot Zone" is the 1.5-0.9 meter diameter around the object of which all personnel immediately become affected by SCP-2XXX's non-visual properties. Lastly, the "Point of No Return" is the diameter of 0.6 meters or less around SCP-2XXX of which any person(s) cannot be broken from the affects of the object till they simply become mentally exhausted or suffer injury from someone unaffected by SCP-2XXX's anomalous abilities.
SCP-2XXX is kept in a standard containment room but with one strobe light on each wall. Incase of need to break the affected person(s) trance state the strobes must all simultaneously be flashed 5 times with an interval of 1 second between each strobe emitted. SCP-2XXX is to be kept in a heavily tinted and electromagnetically sealed glass box, measuring 30 cm in height and 23 cm in width. All personnel are to stay clear of a 3 meter diameter around the object designated "Cold Zone. When within 3 meters to 0.9 meters personnel must wear vision distortion goggles to avoid the visual affects of SCP-2XXX. All testing is to be headed by at least one Level 4 Senior Researcher. A maximum of two Assistant Researchers are allowed to be present during testing of SCP-2XXX under the authorization of at least one Senior Researcher. If any personnel wander into the Area Of Effect (AOE) at anytime outside of a testing scenario said personnel must immediately be demoted to Class E and undergo a mandatory 24 hour observation period; if personnel are cleared after the 24 hour period they are to return to their duties immediately. They are then to undergo an "unofficial" 12 observation period. During this time the person(s) under observation is to be observed by their fellow peers, the person(s) being monitored is not to be notified as to not make them put on an act.
One Security Officer is to be stationed outside of SCP-2XXX's containment room, during testing an extra Officer is to enter the observation room with the researchers incase of a violent outbusrt towards personnel. One or two Class D Personnel are to be used during testing periods, if approved by at least two Senior Researchers a maximum of up to five Class D personnel may be permitted.
Description: SCP-2XXX is a single 10 Dollar Bill ($10 USD), upon initial inspection 2XXX seems to to be a normal crisp 10 Dollar Bill. However through advanced testing it is discovered that the object has an extremely high resilience to all forms of damage, how SCP-2XXX obtains it's assumed regenerative abilities is unknown due to its effects at close proximity. When damaged in anyway be it incineration, shredding, crumpling, or any other form of damage SCP-2XXX will instantly regenerate in the blink of an eye. After approximately 60 seconds of exposure to the object whether it be visual or not, the anomalous affects begin to manifest. All Class D Personnel with the exception of two and a group of 10 exhibit the same behavior; the two previously mentioned Class D's also had previous exposure to SCP-501 without the administration of amnestics of any kind afterwards.
Two separate occasions occurred when Class D Personnel were not administered amnestics after handling a different anomalous object. The test logs are included below, to remind personnel the importance of following protocol to ensure clear testing results and a safe work environment.
