SCP-XXXX in its dormant state.
Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept inside a 31 x 31 x 51 centimeter cardboard box, along with its manual, in containment cell #133113, with two (2) armed personnel guarding it. Anyone who wants to use SCP-XXXX for any reason must have written permission from two (2) Level 3 personnel. No disks of any kind should be within 6 meters of SCP-XXXX

Description: SCP-XXXX is a 28 x 28 x 46 centimeter green entertainment system with a small TV screen, made out of an unknown form of plastic. According to a publishing date in the manual, it was created in (DATA EXPUNGED), 1990. SCP-XXXX has no plug or controller, and seems to work without electricity.

On the top of SCP-XXXX is a cartridge slot. When a cartridge is placed inside the slot, the cartridge will disappear, and will only reappear when you press the eject button. If there is a DVD or CD within a 6 meter radius of SCP-XXXX, that disk would become a cartridge, and any art that was on the disk would appear on the cartridge. When the disk cartridge exits the area of effect, it will turn back into a disk.

On the front of the system are ten (10) circular buttons. these buttons can only be pressed by the person intending to play on the system, which is from then on referred to as "the player". the buttons do the following when pressed;

1. Only works when SCP-XXXX is on. Turns the plasma in the screen up.
2. Only works when SCP-XXXX is on. Turns the plasma in the screen down.
3. Only works when SCP-XXXX is on. Ejects the cartridge that is presently in SCP-XXXX
4. Doesn't seem to do anything when pressed.
5. Turns SCP-XXXX on.
6. Turns SCP-XXXX off.
7,8, and 9. these buttons appear to be broken and were requested to be fixed. Request is pending approval.
10. Only works when SCP-XXXX is on and if there is a cartridge in the slot. when pressed, SCP-XXXX will "download" the player.

When SCP-XXXX downloads the player, whatever game that is in the cartridge slot will start.
A character with the features of the player will be in the main protagonist's place. anyone near SCP-XXXX can communicate with the player, where the player would talk when talked to, and in games which don't have speech, the player would communicate in text.

The player will be required to complete the game that they are trapped in. When the player completes the game, the player will in front of SCP-XXXX, mostly unharmed, and then SCP-XXXX will turn off. If the player dies in the game, the screen will turn white, and then continuously darker shades of red, and finally SCP-XXXX will make the lights in its area of effect flicker, and then it will turn off.

SCP-XXXX was recovered when some of our agents heard reports of several children in the Wisconsin area disappearing under unknown circumstances. During the investigation, SCP-XXXX was found, along with a small manual. The manual contains information about the system (developer information, repair tutorials, etc.)
and, besides that the manual seems to be indestructible, is unremarkable. It says that SCP-XXXX was created by the game company Alchemist Arcade, which, according to our files, does not exist.
