An Example Of SCP-2335-1 After Pattern #4

Item #: SCP-2335

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: All forms and instances of SCP-2335 should be contained in a 8x8x8 meter steel box. Leading to the room will be a ten (10) meter long corridor. Under no circumstances should any personnel be allowed in the room or hallway. At all times two (2) armed guards should be positioned outside the entry, and the room should never have a temperature of over 30 degrees.

Description: SCP-2335-1 is a pathogen carrier, which takes the form of vegetable matter closely resembling Glechoma Hederacea (Creeping Charlie). The entity's anomalous properties manifest only when three (3) conditions are met:
-There is light shining directly onto SCP-2335-1;
-The temperature is above 60 degrees;
-There is at least one (1) other living entity within seven (7) meters of it.
If these conditions are reached, SCP-2335-1 will begin the morphing stage.

SCP-2335-1's leaves will begin to discolor, quickly turning to a light gray color. This phenomenon has been observed to work in a pattern. Five (5) Several patterns have been recorded, though many seem to follow an expanding circular motion.

The process of discoloration in SCP-2335-1's leaves takes an average of fourteen (14) hours. Study has shown that while this is happening, a pathogen (hereby designated as SCP-2335-2) incubates inside of a small bud in the center of the entity. After all leaves on SCP-2335-1 have been fully converted, the second stage begins. Spikes similar to a Rosoideae (Rose) begin growing on the stems sprouting the leaves, which protect the plant from animals in the wild.

If a human entity is within the range of SCP-2335-1 after the previous effects have been finished, SCP-2335-2will be released. The disease is airborne, but can only spread within a fifty-four (54) meter area. There is currently no documented limit to the number of humans SCP-2335-2 can infect, but the highest number recorded was thirty-seven (37).

Once a human has contracted SCP-2335-2, they become SCP-2335-3. The infected entity will begin to grow leaves similar to SCP-2335-1. The small patches of vegetable matter have been observed to grow generally in the upper abdomen area, but have also been found across the body. SCP-2335-3's corneas become cloudy, similar to various other diseases. SCP-2335-3 will attempt to travel to the nearest largely-populated urban area (how it knows the location of said area is unknown). Once it has reached it's goal, SCP-2335-3 will become dormant for twenty-four (24) hours. During this time, the leaves previously mentioned will grow extremely fast into the ground. The entity will also form a shell under it's skin, presumably by using it's newly introduced pathogen. The solidness of the terrain has not seemed to affect the leaves. SCP-2335-3 can be eliminated during this time by using blunt trauma, sustained fire from heavy firearms, or extreme temperature. If the leaves succeed in burrowing into the ground, a near-replica of SCP-2335-1 will begin to grow. The growth of the new SCP-2335-1 takes 63 hours.

The process will repeat with the creation of the new instance of SCP-2335-1. Currently one (1) out of two (2) instances are contained. Two (2) battalions of Foundation ground troops have been assigned to eliminate the rogue replica.

Addendum: SCP-2335-3 has escaped Site-[DATA EXPUNGED] three (3) times. Data on the breakout is confiscated.
