Water IV

OK… let's see what we have here.
Floor…Check
Gravity…Check
Light…Check
Walls… Walls? No? OK, fair enough.

I'll start setting out my bed roll and furniture soon; in the meantime, not much to see. I think I'll probably start poking around here in the next day or so and see what these knobs, switches and buttons actually do.

Especially the one marked "DO NOT TOUCH".

7/23/2013: Oh, Code Snippets! Me like.

Looks like a nice way to organize my stuff. Let's begin.

Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is provided living quarters 6m x 6m in size, furnished to resemble its quarters upon discovery, and maintained daily. Food and water are not required, although a functioning toilet and bath must be provided and maintained. All personnel interacting with SCP-XXXX are required to undergo a psychological examination.

Description: SCP-XXXX appears to be a physically unremarkable male Caucasian of early middle-age (40-50 years), estimated at 1.65m in height. Subject appears in excellent health, but is missing the cranium and neck from the second cervical vertebra. Upon examination, the "stump" is unhealed, and appears to have been cut cleanly by some unknown method. The exposed tissue is undamaged, and all visible arteries and veins are open and apparently in working order. The esophagus and trachea also appear to function normally.

Optical flow observations indicate that the arteries transport blood at the normal volume flow rate of 337 +/- 96 mL/m. Nerve conduction velocity was also within normal range (Aα ~ 80-120m/s). Close examination of the terminus has been impossible, as introduction of instruments into the area where the cranium would be located causes significant distress to the subject.

SCP-XXXX is functionally blind and deaf. However, it should be noted that it is currently unknown if his head is deaf-blind, or it is simply in a location with no external stimuli. It is currently unknown if SCP-XXXX was born lacking these senses, its cranium, or both.

SCP-XXXX is communicative via Braille-type or tactile sign language. A record of significant interactions has been compiled at XXXX-Transcripts (see Addendum X).

SCP-XXXX came to the Foundation's attention during a routine police call for assistance regarding "an unresponsive elderly neighbor". Upon entering the premises, an apparently decapitated "corpse" was discovered; on further investigation, the body was found to be alive and responsive.

At this point, embedded personnel moved to recover SCP-XXXX, administering Class-B amnestics to officers and dispatch worker. Dr.█████████ entered the premises and made contact.

When located, he was dressed in a three-piece business suit; attempts to provide alternate clothing have proven unsuccessful, as SCP-XXXX seems to prefer formal attire. As such, his wardrobe contains seven (7) identical suits (procured from the "Men's Wearhouse" range, Item No. XXXXX-XX). Replacement suits are provided as necessary.
