SCP-XXXX Experiment Log

Experiment Log for SCP-XXXX

All researchers working with SCP-XXXX are encouraged to append their results to this experiment log in the following format:

Notes:

Experiment XXXX-A
Date: ██/██/████
Test Subject: D-48101
Identification Type: Driver's License formerly valid in the state of ███████

Results: Subject's head, neck, and shoulders destroyed from 6 (six) cm below the tops of the subject's shoulders, up to the top of the subject's head, consistent with cross-cut patterns of a Fellowes brand cross-cut paper shredder.

Notes: It is recommended that we hold the test subjects in a separate cell from SCP-XXXX, to prevent the results from interfering with the item's functionality.

Experiment XXXX-B
Date: ██/██/████
Test Subject: D-48122
Identification Type: ██ passport

Results:Subject's head, neck, and shoulders destroyed from 6 (six) cm below the tops of the subject's shoulders, up to the top of the subject's head, consistent with cross-cut patterns of a Fellowes brand cross-cut paper shredder.

Notes: It seems as though the effects of the item are independent of the type of identification used.

Experiment XXXX-C
Date: ██/██/████
Test Subject: D-48137
Identification Type: Photo identification card issued by ████████, ███.

Results: Subject's head, neck, and shoulders destroyed from 4 (four) cm below the tops of the subject's shoulders, up to the top of the subject's head, consistent with cross-cut patterns of a Fellowes brand cross-cut paper shredder.

Notes: This experiment shows that the identification does not have to be issued by a legal entity for it to be affected by SCP-XXXX.

Experiment XXXX-D
Date: ██/██/████
Test Subject: D-48178
Identification Type: D-Class personal documentation.

Results: Subject's entire body destroyed from the bottoms of the feet up to the top of the subject's head, consistent with cross-cut patterns of a Fellowes brand cross-cut paper shredder.

Notes: SCP-XXXX Destroyed much more of the subject than in previous experiments. Evidence suggests this is because D-48178's personal file contained a full body photograph as opposed to the head and upper shoulder shots seen in the other forms of identification to date. Suggest experimenting with a form of identification that does not include a photo of the subject.

Additional Notes: SCP-XXXX could potentially be used to efficiently terminate D-class personnel and expunge their records simultaneously. A request has been filed to look into this farther. Request denied on the grounds that terminations should be conducted independently of data expunging, as well as the fact that termination via SCP-XXXX would be unnecessarily messy.

Experiment XXXX-D
Date: ██/██/████
Test Subject: D-48279
Identification Type: Birth certificate issued in the state of ████.

Results: Observed effect minimal. Subject seems to become agitated after documentation is shred. When questioned, the subject responds that it cannot remember it's name, and has a strange sensation emanating from it's lower abdomen. Psychiatric analysis shows that the subject truly has no recollection of it's name. Physical analysis shows that the subject is without a navel, and subsequent MRI shows that no trace of umbilical cord remains.

Notes: The documentation in question is different than the other tests in that it has no photo along with it, just D-48279's name, birth records, and parent's names. Subsequent interview showed that he couldn't remember having parents either, despite testimony of having grown up in a standard household. Further experimentation into non-photo identification is necessary.
