Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX-1 and SCP-XXXX-2 will be contained inside separated Faraday Cages, with a minimum distance of 10 meters between them.
No electronic device of any type may be brought inside the containment chamber, including communication devices (phones, computers, PDAs or pagers), storage media (CD, DVD, USB devices or SD cards), cameras, microphones or any other kind of recording device.
Security cameras may be installed inside the containment chamber, but the same precautions are on place when watching the recorded footage.

SCP-XXXX-1 is, in appearance, an ordinary pair of headphones painted in black, made of a material very similar to plastic, and one side has visible cracks. If one gets very close to it, a a whisper can be heard, although too faint to understand. There aren't any ports or buttons on the headphones.

SCP-XXXX-2 is a old and rusty computer, with a small cathodic monitor and a worn out keyboard. It doesn't have any wires connecting the keyboard to the screen, nor has it any electrical plug: the monitor will lit up as soon as somebody puts SCP-XXXX-1 over their head.

The first time a subject wears SCP-XXXX-1, they will immediately fall into a coma. Medical tests show no damage to the brain.

As soon as the subject has fallen into the coma, the screen of SCP-XXXX-2 will lit up, showing a progress bar. During a period between █ and ███ days, the bar will slowly fill up. The subject will wake up instantly once the progress bar is complete.

With the process complete, the loading screen will be substituted by a rudimentary file browser, with folders sorted by date, from the moment of birth of the subject to the current day.

Opening any of these folders will show a variety of video files, catalogued as .███ files. Every one of these files show a first person recording of events from the life of the subject.
No way of moving or deleting files has been found.
