SCP-X (An Alien Ambassador)

Item #: SCP-X

Object Class: Safe Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-X is currently contained within a hermetically sealed chamber oxygenated to approximately three times Earth’s current atmospheric percentage at Bio-Site 66. Signal Jammers are implanted a meter deep in the walls of the chamber and are placed every 2 meters.

An airlock is the only access point to this chamber and is to be used to deliver carnivorous rations to SCP-X twice daily.

SCP-X-B is contained at Site-76 in a regulation aircraft hangar. Following SCP-X's escape attempt, SCP-X-B's landing gear has been secured to the floor of the aircraft hangar using high durability steel clamps.

Description: SCP-X is a 4.5-meter tall female life form resembling a large six-legged arachnid from the waist down, but resembles a four-limbed, gray-skinned humanoid from the waist up. SCP-X’s faces consists of four eyes and a mouth that consists of a small slit below two claw-like appendages on the upper ‘lip’ one slit also lies below each eye, the slits above the upper eyes act as ears, while the slits below the lower eyes act as nostrils. A small amount of hair covers SCP-X’s body, growing about 2.4 centimeters long.

SCP-X has an unknown type of wireless device implanted in its lower left forearm, herein referred to as SCP-X-A, this device has several cataloged applications, including communication with SCP-X-B, translation, holographic projection, and internet browsing. Signal blockers were implanted in the walls of SCP-X’s containment chamber in order to prevent it from contacting its ships or signaling outside help. Attempts to remove SCP-X-A have been deemed too risky, as it appears the device is wired into SCP-X's nervous system.

SCP-X refers to itself as 'Agent Shi’ and claims to belong to an alien species referred to as a █████████████████, originating from a planet in what has been identified as Bode’s Galaxy via the use of star charts.

SCP-X was captured on █/█/20██ when Foundation satellites detected a space/time anomaly just beyond the moon’s orbit. Object proceeded to approach Earth at roughly 1/4 the speed of light, slowing down and arriving at Earth after 11 seconds.

The object, herein referred to as SCP-X-B, proceeded to land in ███████ ████, ███ ████, New York. Foundation personnel were dispatched and managed to quarantine the area before large scale exposure could occur. Six individuals, four civilians, and two local law enforcement officers were on site when Foundation Personnel arrived, they were subsequently detained and administered Class-A amnesiacs.

SCP-X-B was contained and transported to Site-76 for further study, thus far, personnel have been unable to gain access to the ships interior.

SCP-X was originally compliant with Foundation personnel and willingly accompanied the Agents to Bio-Site 66. Upon arrival, SCP-X was interviewed by Dr. Lee.

Dr. Lee: Hello, my name is Dr. Lee, I’ll be conducting this interview today… can you understand me?

*device on SCP-X’s lower left forearm produces a soft whirring sound*

SCP-X: Yes I can understand you, Doctor, I apologize for the delay in translation. The translation software works better when interfaced with another *translation fails, apparently unable to find the correct work* apologies, another device of its making.

Dr. Lee: It’s quite alright, now then, what is your name?

SCP-X: I am Agent Shi, of the Galactic Union.

Dr. Lee: … I see, would you care to elaborate?

SCP-X: Certainly, I am an Agent of a transgalactic union of planets, unified under something akin to your United Nations.

Dr. Lee: You know about the UN?

SCP-X: Certainly, I accessed your ‘internet’ before I landed to learn some preliminary information about your race.

Dr. Lee: I see

SCP-X: Indeed, continuing. I was dispatched to this system as preparation for the Galactic Union’s expansion into this Galaxy. My ship detected this probe.

*device on SCP-X’s arm displays a holographic image of the Voyage 1 Space Probe*

Which acted as confirmation that you were sufficiently advanced to join the Galactic Union.

Dr. Lee: …

SCP-X: By chance have you informed the UN of my arrival? I would very much like to begin the process.

Dr. Lee: Excuse me for a moment.

Closing statement: “If we are to believe that what SCP-X says is true, then it is my opinion that it be released immediately in order to complete its mission.” Dr. Lee1

Over the following days, SCP-X was kept in containment and interviewed by various Staff members, further information about SCP-X’s species, place of origin, and occupation, SCP-X provided information consistent with previous interviews, as well with various astronomical bodies and advanced mathematical formulas relating to scientific laws and space travel, albeit under differing names.

Following an interview in which SCP-X revealed its homeworlds atmospheric composition, a specialized containment chamber was constructed at Bio-Site 66.

Addendum x-01: Following its containment at Bio-Site 66, SCP-X realized it was being detained, and attempted to signal its ship, when signal jammers prevented it from doing so, it attempted to send what is believed to be a faster than light signal that immediately bypassed the signal jammers and Foundation Satellites. SCP-X has so far been unwilling to translate the message for Foundation personnel, but it is presumed to be an SOS.

Following this incident, SCP Satellites have been focused on detecting and intercepting any incoming faster than light signals.

Since these events, SCP-X has grown depressed, and attempted to send several more messages, but seems to be unable to send another faster than light message. SCP-X has also stopped answering Foundation personnel questions in regards to the 'Galactic Union' and other forms of extraterrestrial life.

Addendum x-02: Roughly a month after its attempt at escape, SCP-X began producing a silk like substance, from which it constructed a makeshift shelter in its containment chamber. Testing of this substance revealed it to have a tensile strength twice that of industrial steel.

Addendum x-03: On ██/██/20██, SCP-X attempted to escape containment, using a highly compacted mass of its webbing as a makeshift melee weapon (wielded similarly to a flail) in order to dent its chambers walls and damage the chambers signal jammers. At the same time, SCP-X-B suddenly turned on and attempted to reach Site-66, using some unknown form of Plasma-based weaponry to melt a hole in its hangar, two Security Officers and one Researcher were killed when the ships thrusters turned on and [REDACTED].

SCP-X was immediately injected with [REDACTED] made using samples of SCP-X's DNA, via tranquilizer darts. SCP-X lost consciousness twenty seconds after injection, and SCP-X-B subsequently shut down and crashed three miles from Site-76 (ships was retrieved, undamaged, and returned to Site-76).

SCP-X Containment Chamber walls have been reinforced, and a locked steel shackle was fitted over SCP-X-A while SCP-X was unconscious - Site-66 Containment Specialist ███ ████

Following this event, SCP-X was reclassified as Euclid.

Addendum x-04: On ██/██/20██ Foundation satellites intercepted a faster than light signal originating from Bode's Galaxy, signal was sent to SCP Cryptography department, but they have thus far been unable to translate the signal. SCP-X seemed to receive the message and was able to 'read' it, even with shackle in place over SCP-X-B. SCP-X has been completely unresponsive since the signal arrived.

Addendum x-05: On ██/██/20██, SCP-X attempted to commit suicide, using its own webbing to seal itself in a makeshift cocoon, in an attempt to cause death by hyperthermia. Researcher Dr. Phillips realized something was amiss and ordered Security Officers to puncture the cocoon. They succeeded after four straight minutes of cutting, after which SCP-X was put on suicide watch. It has thus far refused all psychiatric treatment.

Addendum x-06: SCP Cryptography department managed to translate the message after several weeks of intense study. The message is as follows.

The Galactic Union Council
Agent Shi

Upon review of data received, the Galactic Union Council has decided not to order a rescue mission to 'Earth', and to cancel planetary induction. The scans of the satellite you encountered have been studied by Galactic Union Science Officers and were found to contain no technology worthy of induction.

As such 'Earth' has been classified as a Class █ Planet, and as the Galactic Union Commandments state we cannot interact with civilizations on a Class █ Planet, no further missions, rescue or otherwise, will be sent to 'Earth' until the mandatory ███ Galactic Cycles have passed. After which time an automated reconnaissance drone will be dispatched in order to reassess 'Earth's' planetary status.

As of ██/██/███/████ you are to consider yourself permanently dismissed from service. Your next of kin and commanding officer have been made aware of the situation. Please refrain from further attempts at communication.
